the work shown here is the result of my St. Mary's Project in studio art at St. Mary's College of Maryland, from fall 2001 to spring 2002. i would like to thank my project mentors, Sue Johnson, Elijah Gowin, and Jeff Carr. in addition, the guidance and teaching of all of the art and art history faculty has been of utmost importance. and of course, to everyone that offered unconditional encouragement, company late at night in the studio, friendship, and neverending exchanges of ideas, questions, and other types of thought-provoking discourse...you are fantastic people.
