Sice is now. Sice is happening
Sice is action. Sice is brand new.
Sice gives us life. Sice is all around us.

This semester has been an exploration about what sice is and what sice means to me. Although sice is still sice and it always will be sice, my experience of sice continues to change. At the beginning of the semester, I created ‘bad paintings’ involving common objects and simple words. Then I got sick of the work, I liked making the ‘bad paintings’ but hated how it looked sitting in my studio.

Thus, I next made works with the ends in mind, and moved in a geometrical direction. However, I was quickly fed up with the monotonous process involved in making clean geometrical work.

Finally, I discovered the joy of drawing. It was a favorite past time of mine several years ago. Drawing allows me to be creative but at the same time maintain a degree of precision. In conjunction with the drawing, I added paint and other found materials to create a visual hierarchy.
